Today I feel like making Sugar Cookies. They're an easy and simple cookie to make and we're going to dress them up with Mini M&Ms. I need a little comfort today so sugar cookies it is! Chocolate chip are right up there when it comes to comfort too. Join me today for a bit of cookie comfort.

Mini M&M Sugar Cookies
1 and 1/2 cups (188g) all-purpose flour
1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2-3/4 cup mini M&Ms
Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a measuring cup. Set aside.
Beat the butter and granulated sugar together on medium-high speed until creamed, about 1 minute. Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat on high speed until combined, about 1minute. Scrape down the sides and up the bottom of the bowl and beat again as needed
to combine.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix on low until combined.
Add your M&Ms and mix by hand.
Scoop the dough onto a lined cookie sheet with a medium cookie scoop.
Bake at 350 F for 12-14 minutes.
Cool completely on cookie sheet
