This is one hell of an MMO full of action, a varied amount of enemies, bosses, loot, and a lot of unique characteristics like a top down like view, is a shooter/bullet hell style looter game, has nice pixel art graphics, AND is a roguelike. The game’s original creator’s Alex Carobus and Rob Shillingsburg stated that the aim of the game was to “shake things up by breaking as many MMO ‘rules’ as we could”. Despite all of this, these factors can also be a pretty big detriment to the game too. So to understand all of this, the good and the bad, you need to know what makes up this imperfect gem of a game, Realm of the Mad God.
