We spent a day strolling through the streets of Old Quebec on a walking tour that we booked with Sam from afreetourofquebec.com and had a wonderful day in the most European city in North America.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and provided us with a lot of highlights that we may have missed if we were walking around the city alone.
-Old Quebec is a Unesco world heritage site and is the best place to stroll in the city. Visit Lower Town and Upper Town (be careful on the 'breakneck steps') and check out the shops, churches and old fortified wall.
-Take a walk along Dufferin Terrace that's built along the port, enjoy the buskers performances and take pics in front of Chateau Frontenac, the luxurious hotel that overlooks the St. Lawrence river.
-While you're in Petit Champlain, be sure to check out the Place Royale, the charming square where you'll feel like you are back in time.
