It’s been a little while since I’ve done a more straightforward Beatles cover where no percussion overdubs were needed. This felt like a good one to do. Such a fun song to play and a very cool performance from Ringo. How many other drummers were riding 8th notes on their floor toms at that time? You can feel the excitement in this track and it’s very fitting that it was basically the gateway to Beatlemania.
