Note: This is the 1st Pass. A 2nd Pass will be forthcoming to improve the overall dynamics and to give further attention to improving Lennon's vocals. The 2nd Pass video will also include a Side-by-Side comparison, only this time with the 2009 Stereo Remaster for CD, which was reworked from the '87 digital master, not the master tape. In addition, not sure it will be available in time, but we want to try and include a Side-by-Side comparison as well to Sean Magee's incredible work he did for the 2012 Stereo Remasters for Vinyl, using 24bit 44.1kHz digital masters that again, were a direct digital derivative from the original '87 digital masters. And in addition to that, we are also working hard to land a decent disc copy of Mobile Fidelity's work on this landmark album - their 1985 Analog Remastering from master tapes for vinyl and the meticulous work of mastering engineer, Stan Ricker. And finally, we have also acquired a copy of the original digital master stereo mix that was included with the Help! and Rubber Soul albums as part of the 2009 Mono Box CD Set. We hope to be able to present all of these in the form of Side-by-Sides so that you can hear in real time what distinctions in sound all of them have. Stay tuned!
Concerning the Side-by-Side at the end of this video, you will note a definite distinction in sound between the rework of the original analog disc master sound from LegacyVMP Studio and EMI's/George Martin's remix from 4-track and subsequent digital master out of that from the original master tape of this classic legacy recording. Very striking, particularly as it concerns the center channel audio content. For example, pay close attention to the low level shift in sound energy as you move from the '87 digital master sound snippet over to the '24 disc cut sound.
In addition, it is definitely a more dry listen overall when you run a Side-by-Side comparison on both versions ('87 and 2009) versus the more warm sounding '69 disc cut sound.

And so Calderstone Productions, the UK sub of UMG that owns the rights to The Beatles music, is allowing some Beatles music to now be played on YouTube for the time being. Not sure for how long but we are grateful to them for allowing it.
And now we are in the process of looking through our Beatles archive and releasing those uploads that were previously put on hold from years past. This is good news folks. Enjoy!

+1st Pass - Usually indicates that a lesser audio source(vinyl pressing) was used to create the transfer. Also, very little, if any, audio restoration treatments are applied on a 1st Pass. Therefore, it is highly likely that you will hear various degrees of audio distortion throughout. If and when a better audio source is acquired, a second transfer/restoration project will eventually ensue as part of a 2nd Pass and depending on the results, a full scale audio restoration will usually also accompany the 2nd Pass for much better results.
