Have you listened lately to the, oft times, very rich depth and sometimes profound sounds, found exclusively on your very own legacy vinyl pressings? That's right. And many times, these will get 'glossed over' or merely overlooked for ALL the richness in sound they can have to offer if you are not careful.

Take a listen again at what you might have sitting in your basement or stored away somewhere because you just might be pleasantly surprised at what you hear the next time you 'plop it on the platter'.

And then there's what we do here..........

"We're all about leveraging what technology now affords us and putting it to proper use to help 'revitalize this legacy vinyl sound' and then promote it to help make it more readily accessible in the digital age for the industry to benefit, and ultimately, the music consumer, because it is just that important."

Our studio is set up solely for exploiting the best in analog sound that our treasured legacy recordings offer us on legacy vinyl pressings. If the sound is there and the pressing has it to give, we will find it. All produced from an incredible era of musical creativity(explosion), innovation, and production/reproduction, folks, the likes of which, we will probably never see again.

No Audio Restoration was performed on this minimalistic presentation so you may hear various audible vocal/high frequency distortions, as well as a higher surface noise floor throughout, including clicks-n-pops.

HFE- High Fidelity Engineered
Tru-192 - Captured with true hardware 192KHz, 24bit technology and professional-grade and industry compliant, world class converters.

But the home studio business is ready and waiting for the industry to officially begin designating these specially-select, legacy vinyl pressings to become 'Vinyl Masters' and then have them set aside. This will then allow studios like this one to be able to procure them when needed so that we can run them through our specially designed studio and hand over these special digital translations to the mastering studios with the assurance that we have been able to produce the absolute best in high fidelity digital audio sound possible from a legacy vinyl pressing and so that they (the mastering studios) can then send them to the next level as only they know how.

The 'Big Three' At Work! -

What are they?

There are three of key dynamics at work and they all come together to yield something special in sound.
I. A sound intentionally produced to the vinyl medium that is 'unique to its own' and comes from an unprecedented era in music reproduction from the 50's, 60's, 70's and into the 80's!
II. An unprecedented time in advanced audio technologies(Today!) (both hardware and software) that only continues to get better.
III. An 'oddity' craftsman who has a unique background that began with a BS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology in the mid-90's, and then later, an AAS degree in Music Technology (in 2018!), plus eight years (and counting) working in the music industry( including five years at a manufacturing plant for record pressing and electro-plating) and who has had a 'dedicated ear' solely to 'all things legacy' vinyl since 2007.

Bringing all 'three' together to generate some incredible results. 'Hear the difference'!

LegacyVMP Studio is dedicated to preserving and promoting this 'sound that we once knew' as a vital part of our legacy recording heritage. But we also are dedicated to helping it 'live again'.

Will you help us 'get the word out'?
