The Vinyl Restoration Project | The Beatles - "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" - Stereo LP - Revitalized - 'Tru-192' - 1st Pass @TheVinylRestorationProject | Uploaded June 2024 | Updated October 2024, 16 minutes ago.
TheVRP Archives - Reissue UK Pressing - "The Beatles – Help!" - One Box EMI ‎– PCS 3071 - 1969

Concerning the Side-by-Side at the end of this video, you will note definite distinctions in sound between the rework of the original analog disc cut master sound from LegacyVMP Studio and EMI's/George Martin's remix from 4-track sound, as well as, the original 1965 stereo mix. Also, I'm proposing that an additional LP production master tape was prepared specifically for the production presses that included additional low-end added to the center channel to disperse the low end sound energy a little more evenly throughout the mix in order for the cutter head on the lathe to track better as it cut the grooves into the lacquer.

But regardless, unmistakable is the added warmth that you get as expected from the disc cut master sound over the others and most certainly a more 'even' stereo image presentation overall without the 'wooliness' or 'wonkiness' found when taken solely from master tape. These additional sound attributes/benefits are created, however, only during the post-production process when preparing the stereo master for the cutting lathe. Pretty remarkable, as you can hear.

What really shines through on the original master disc cut version?
1. The 'visceral' qualities of Lennon's lead vocal(nothing 'digital' sounding about this one);
2. Starr's insane drumming(his signature cymbal shimmer he always created during his performances during this era of their music for their 'rockers' and an incredible force he put through to each snare strike that literally left wood chips on the floor afterwards;
3. The lead guitar's riff throughout (LOUD n clear);
4. The cohesion, balance, and musicality of the performance;
5. The stereo's mix's overall presentation or image, better separation and balance.

Which version do you prefer?

I hope you enjoy the additional Side-by-Side demo at the end of the video to help you discern the critical differences between the three. Something to think about. To learn more on how this studio is helping fill a vital need in the legacy audio industry, please visit - https://www.legacyvmp.com.

Sixty Year Anniversary - The Beatles - 1964 - 2024

And so Calderstone Productions, the UK sub of UMG that owns the rights to The Beatles music, is allowing some Beatles music to now be played on YouTube for the time being. Not sure for how long but we are grateful to them for allowing it.

And now we are in the process of looking through our Beatles archive and releasing those uploads that were previously put on hold from years past. This is good news folks. Enjoy!

+1st Pass - Usually indicates that a lesser audio source(vinyl pressing) was used to create the transfer. Also, very little, if any, audio restoration treatments are applied on a 1st Pass. Therefore, it is highly likely that you will hear various degrees of audio distortion throughout. If and when a better audio source is acquired, a second transfer/restoration project will eventually ensue as part of a 2nd Pass and depending on the results, a full scale audio restoration will usually also accompany the 2nd Pass for much better results.
