Harry Truman and St. Hellens Lodge were institutions where I grew up. He was a strong minded, solid and contented man.
He was killed in the first few milliseconds of the first Mt. St. Hellens eruption. He was vaporised in the atomatic blast that sent the mushroom cloud into the morning sky.
All in all, it wasn't a bad way to go.

One segment of KLOD Radio is, "Then And Now." which is based on a simple idea.
Start with a hit song performed by the original artist and about half way through the song shifts to the same song, same artist on about the same note but at least 35 years later. 35 years is the minimum. I prefer to have the time between, "Then," and "Now" to be fifty (50) years.
No, I am not a restaurant in Portland, Oregon. I was living in Portland when I sold my first, "Nursery Crime," starring Veritable Quandary and a short time later the restaurant opened their doors.
