Certainly in South Australia as far as motorcycling is concerned, there is a huge gap in what is taught in regards how to use and deal with merging traffic, especially at slip roads. The basic training given doesn't teach common courtesy in these situations, maybe car driving schools and lessons are different but if a rider has never driven, and gone straight to two wheels, how do they know what to do? Of course there are also vehicle driver's who are either ignorant or actually just arrogant and refuse to do the right thing. Here I show two examples of the correct way to deal with merging traffic at a slip road and also introduce my new hashtag #adjustpacecreatespace which will be thrown in to my social media when I'm doing my defensive riding tips and examples.
