Grandiose Recollections and Beautiful Years is a fan-made remake of Dante Timberwolf’s “All The Grand Memories Of All The Lovely Years”, with elements of Vanpassinby's Everywhere In A Different Universe, aiming to pay homage to the original while refining the original’s execution, concepts, and tracks. The album follows a married individual born in the late 19th/early 20th century, as they grapple with Alzheimer’s Disease and its encroachment on the mind.
"The third stage of the disease is marked by the last fragments of a truly lucid mind being snuffed out as a fog begins to descend upon the imagination. The mood is unstable, shaky, and rapidly changing. Plaque buildup continues, choking neurons and rendering them lifeless. The final coherent memories are the ones held most dear - the connections made and reminisced upon so often that they have survived the decay. Neurons start to misfire as conscious recall becomes difficult - singular memories even less so. "
