Grandiose Recollections and Beautiful Years is a fan-made remake of Dante Timberwolf’s “All The Grand Memories Of All The Lovely Years”, with elements of Vanpassinby's Everywhere In A Different Universe, aiming to pay homage to the original while refining the original’s execution, concepts, and tracks. The album follows a married individual born in the late 19th/early 20th century, as they grapple with Alzheimer’s Disease and its encroachment on the mind.
PART 2
"Unease sets in as the creeping realization that something is amiss enters the mind. The patient self-advocates and seeks doctors and clinicians, leading to a diagnosis of late-onset Alzheimer’s Disease. Their entire world is shaken by this revelation - and the stress of such a fact leads to denial, attempts to mitigate the symptoms, and a forceful push to remember.
Past a certain point, symptoms and memory loss begin to become impossible to ignore - forcing the patient to accept that their condition is real, present, and worsening. This leads to an extreme depressive slump as memories slowly start to warp and relationships start to strain."
