The Arcade opened in 1919 and is the oldest restaurant in Memphis. Elvis used to come here for his favorite sandwich, griddle-fried peanut-butter-and-banana sandwich. There is still an Elvis boot where the King used to sit, near the rear exit, for him to be able to escape if fans got too crazy.

The restaurant is a typical retro style American diner. It has been featured in lots of movies: 21 Grams, Great Balls of Fire, Elizabethtown, The Client, The Firm, and Walk the Line to name a few.
