The application of shooting doesn’t change whether the target is people or paper. Moving through a house or a stage doesn’t mechanically change the way I move my body to keep the sights aligned.
To the untrained or uninformed, drills like this may appear to only benefit competition shooting. In reality, if you carry a gun in a professional capacity, the moment you need to use it, you’re in a competition — the only difference is that the stakes are far higher.
