When evaluated through the lens of reliability, simplicity, and accountability-under-stress, folding knives present inherent limitations compared to fixed blades.
Deployment complexity, mechanical points of failure, and compromised structure are realities, not just personal opinions.
As always, when solving any problem that requires tools, first identify what is optimal. Then realize the moment that you knowingly deviate from that standard, you are simply accepting a degree of sub-optimal performance.
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Prioritize needs over wants and capability over convenience.”
