Coming in October 2025: The American Story at the National Archives Museum in Washington, DC!

The National Archives Museum is reopening after its first renovation in 20 years!

The American Story, a new permanent exhibition, will showcase the records in the National Archives that have shaped our nation.

From the Louisiana Purchase to presidential gifts (including horseshoes given to President George H.W. Bush by Queen Elizabeth II), to records of our daily lives (like the original patent for the first Barbie doll), visitors will have a chance to experience original records & artifacts.

This will be the first and only museum in Washington, D.C. to use artificial intelligence to bring each visitor a special, individualized opportunity to explore the records.
