Film Score and More | The Amazing Spider-Man Unreleased Score: Inside Oscorp Piano Cover (HD) @FilmScoreandMore | Uploaded January 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
This is a piano transcription of an unreleased cue from the late James Horner’s "The Amazing Spider-Man" score from 2012. This is really a simplified version of the full orchestral cover, which is coming very soon. Contrary to what a lot of new viewers seem to think, I don’t learn these covers by ear, nor is it me playing; it is a software called Notion 6. This arrangement comes directly from the orchestral score sheets, so credit should really go to James Horner and the song’s orchestrator, J.A.C. Redford.
I’ve always been a pretty big fan of Horner’s score for this movie and the orchestral textures mixed with the four pianos layered on top of each other. The pianos really add something to the score and are used in diverse ways throughout; sometimes they’re creepy and unnerving, sometimes they’re soothing and delicate. And if I remember correctly, a lot of the prerecorded pianos are James Horner himself.
