The Amazing Roads Of Eryri - Group Tour Snowdonia with Craig y Llyn - Part 4

On the 13th August 23’ a group of 6 including myself took the long ride from the Westcountry to Llanberis in Snowdonia. We had 3 days up there and were lucky enough to have @craigyllyn give us a guided tour. It has to be the best way to see it all. We experienced everything from tight twisty lanes under the trees, mountain passes, sweeping turns beside lakes and wide open spaces. Of course a few points of interest were thrown in for good measure.
The group consists of Mister Dave on his Royal Enfield Hunter, Flapjack Phil on his Royal Enfield Continental GT650, Mark The Most Wanted and Nick the Duck on their Royal Enfield Classic 500’s, Uncle Jesse on his BMW R1150R and finally myself on The Witch my Royal Enfield Himalayan. Graham aka Craig y Llyn shows us around on his Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Trials.
We stayed in The Lake View Hotel which is run by Amy and James, and I cannot praise them highly enough. Their warm and friendly welcome along with their attention to detail and excellent breakfasts made for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Highly recommended! We all had such a fantastic time. Riding with friends, being guided by Graham and having The Lake View Hotel to retreat to was the perfect recipe for a biking holiday.
The sun came out. This episode is broken into three parts and it's all about the riding. I had very little to say during recording but the roads and views were spectacular, and in my opinion too good to leave out of the series. Therefore I have added music so you are not subjected to 12 minutes of wind noise. Always difficult choosing tunes, you will never please everyone and I completely understand if it isn't your cup of tea.
Part 1 passes through Llangynog which as I'm sure you would expect, I cannot pronounce. From there it's a lovely climb beside a deep valley and coming out to some wide open views that remind me of parts of Dartmoor.
Part 2 is the B4391 to Llan Ffestiniog, an exceptional road that's very engaging for the rider.
Part 3 takes us through Drws-y-Coed and perhaps the most beautiful valley I've ridden through. This is somewhere between Nantle and Llanberis. Graham said it was his favourite route nearby and I can see why, I'm so grateful to him for sharing it with us. The sheep are a bit mad though.
