The Amazing Japanese Festival At Missouri Botanical Garden! Art, Music, Bonsai, Origami, & More!
We went to the Japanese Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden for the first time in 2022, and we wish we'd known about this great event sooner! We made some rookie mistakes and missed out on a few things, but we were still able to get in on some great music, dance, cultural demonstrations, and other very interesting and fun experiences. There are so many things available to do and see here, and you could definitely spend the better part of a day at this Festival. We would advise being at the Missouri Botanical Garden as soon as it opens on the Festival days, even though the actual event typically doesn't begin until an hour later. That gives you time to get a closer parking spot, hopefully one in their actual lot and not a few blocks away on the street (which is what happened to us). Being there as early as possible also gives you the opportunity to get a earlier time slot ticket for the Teahouse Island Tour, which is in high demand. If you can be there all day, you would probably be able to get a ticket for a later tour. The Teahouse Island is only open to the public during this three-day festival, so it's something you should try to work into your visit if possible. We had a great time here, and we plan on coming back next year. Except next time, we'll plan on arriving as soon as the Garden opens!
