I've been playing a lot of Neverness to Everness lately. And I've also been reading Reddit and Twitter. And there's no avoiding the massive AI drama surrounding the game right now.

So, what's going on? The streamer Ironmouse was promoting Neverness to Everness content, but she got quite upset when it was discovered that NTE contains AI generated art. And that caused everyone else to jump on the hate train.
This video is a little discussion about pros and cons of AI, and some thoughts I have on this whole Neverness to Everness situation. I ramble a bit about AI in general and how I don't necessarily see it as a purely negative thing - but I try to understand where all the artists are coming from as well.
All in all, I see AI as a tool like any other. A technology that has the potential to do a lot of good and be helpful for companies...as long as it's not abused. Now, my take is that Hotta Studio haven't misused AI when it comes to Neverness to Everness. But whether or not they've mistreated Ironmouse - that's another topic. And I think that it's good to separate the two when talking about this whole drama.
