The Pennsylvania Turnpike is America's first "super highway." Join us for a look at the abandoned PA Turnpike! This 13.5 mile stretch of road was abandoned in 1968 when the PA Turnpike was rerouted. It includes two tunnels... the 6,782 foot long Sidling Hill Tunnel and the shorter Ray's Hill Tunnel.
This area is popular with hikers and cyclists. It has been used for military training and there have even been movies shot here!

Our organization was started by public school teachers, David Raymond, Eric Gimbi, and Mike Graham. Dave, Eric, and Mike are incredibly passionate about teaching and education.
