The 7th Guest VR on Meta Quest — Vertigo Games' remake of the 1993 FMV puzzle classic.
Gorgeous mansion, weighty interactions and character acting that's a million times better than the original.
The 7th Guest VR is Vertigo Games' reimagining of the 1993 FMV puzzle classic, and Doc Neale is already smitten. Gorgeous graphics, weighty physical interactions, a dripping-with-atmosphere mansion and FMV performances that are genuinely good rather than laughably bad. Edward Gorey art direction, Tim Burton-era cheer, Danny Elfman hints in the score. Puzzles feel satisfying, objects have heft, doors resist. It ticks every box for a fan of puzzle mystery games and earns a quietly brilliant opening verdict ahead of the full review.
