Holy awesome, Batman! Volo Museum brings the iconic 1966 Batmobile up close and personal on Chicago's WGN9 Morning News Show as Mike Toomey interviews marketing director, Jim Wojdyla. The exhaust works and a propane tank is hooked up in back so it actually shoots flames! It has a LS1 Corvette engine in it. This is not the original one from the show. Only one was ever made from a 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car. George Barris, who designed the car, made 14 replicas in his Barris Kustom Industries Studios for promotional purposes. Volo Museum has one of those very rare versions.
The replica sits on a 1977 Lincoln Continental chassis.
