These were 15 of the most incredible hikes we did this year. Some of the hiking highlights of 2024 include:
1) Summiting Mt. Whitney via the Mountaineer's Route in winter
2) Climbing Mt. Russell via the class 3 knife edge
3) Having Duck Lake and Pika LAke all to ourselves on the 4th of July
4) Finally tackling Long's Peak in CO - and having perfect hiking conditions!
5) Visiting Maroon Bells during peak fall color season
6) Hiking to Rainbow Falls when the typical "easy" approach was closed, meaning that our trip totaled 14 miles and 3000FT of climbing, but there wasn't another soul in sight!
7) Battling gale force winds at CO's Sky Pond, complete with a frozen Timberline Falls
8) Scrambling to and soaking in the elusive Tangerine Falls
9) Glissading down St. Mary's Glacier in Colorado during a snowstorm
10) Climbing the Torrey's Peak/Grays Peak Double 14er complete with Kelso Ridge knife edge
11) Adventuring through the obstacle course of Santa Barbara's Seven Falls
12) Traversing to Yosemite's El Capitan via Yosemite Falls during winter
13) Finishing our first ultra at Rae Lakes!
14) Witnessing the most incredible sunrise of our lives while climbing Mt. Bierstadt
15) Stumbling upon Idaho's insane beauty at Goat Lake
