❒ ┈ “Kazume Ouji!” The empty corridors made the perfect scene for sharp cries from an infuriated professor.
However, Kazume ignored them all, breaking yet another rule by running down the hallways.
Echoes faded within yells, his footsteps pounding against the floor in loud thuds, breathing weighted by growing exhaustion. One that was met by yet another loud thud, Kazume’s toppling to the floor.
“Watch it,” He snapped. Immediate regret was probably the best word to use when his eyes met those of Ling’s. Scrambling to his feet, he uttered a hurried, “Fancy seeing you here.”
Now it was embarrassment when Ling raised a brow, calling him out for his stupidity.
He tried to explain how he was running from a detention. Of course, Ling had to make a racket, calling the teacher over.
In a panic, Kazume grabbed his wrists, shoving him out of sight of the approaching Professor.
Just in time, he pressed his chest against Ling’s, both body’s tight against the corridors wall.
“Shh.”
