Ferals are not all wild and some adapt to indoor living quite well. Shadow and Panther loved the indoor life and easily transitioned to their new indoor family. Sadly although we paid to have the boys tested for feline leukemia before moving them indoors and they both tested negative, their 3rd brother tested positive. Trap,neuter, release TNR has a policy that cats with feline leukemia are euthanized to avoid the spread throughout the feral colony. For reasons we will never understand, somehow the virus became active in Shadow and after 3 and a half years with this beautiful, loving soul we had to say goodbye. Once the boys moved indoors they did not go outside and thankfully they had no interest in going out, although they did see their family outdoors and no doubt wondered why they didn't want to move inside. By some miracle the virus did not spread to Panther or Zena and they are still with us now coming up to 3 years later.
