This trip took place at a high altitude, with each member sleeping alone in their own tent. Therefore, I specifically recorded a Goromity Pitch video showcasing the high-altitude tents designed for this environment.
The higher the altitude, the thinner the air—this is basic outdoor knowledge. Therefore, this tent is a 1.5-layer tent, and the top uses a breathable fabric different from conventional tent materials: Dome 20D Finetex 3-layer waterproof and breathable ripstop nylon, Waterproof 8000mm; Breathable 8000g/m²/24h. Simply put, it's both waterproof and breathable. The rain cover provides double protection.
The tent floor is made of 40D 240T TPU ripstop lattice nylon, Waterproof 10000mm. Once you receive the tent, you'll appreciate how unique these new technological fabrics are, but the price will also be significantly higher than conventional tent materials. After all, it's designed for high-altitude, high-humidity environments. When you wake up in the morning, there will be condensation on the outside of the tent, but as the temperature rises or wind blows across the surface, the moisture at the top of the tent will evaporate more quickly due to its better breathability.
Unlike conventional tent seams, which typically use transparent seam tape, ours uses a more durable material from the USA. This indicates that the tent has already undergone seam sealing at the factory.
The Inner tent door is made of 20D Monofila, a fabric I mentioned during Enran's explanation. It prevents small water droplets from entering the interior, somewhat like the surface of a lotus leaf, and its waterproof performance is much better than windproof fabrics and mesh.
The latest improvement is the design of a full-size zippered footprint option. At high altitudes, there are fewer obstructions and more wind noise. Using a full-size zippered footprint reduces heat loss from the inside of the tent and lowers the noise of wind hitting the outside. When you feel the tent is too hot, you can slightly open the zipper for ventilation. You can put your backpack and shoes inside the vestibule to prevent the bottom from getting wet. This provides you with a controllable environmental option.
