Skyfox 1986 Ariolasoft / Electronic Arts is a fast, addictive combat flight sim/shoot-’em-up that puts you in the cockpit of a high-tech fighter defending your base from waves of tanks, aircraft, and mother-ships. There's a solid range of training missions plus full invasion scenarios across several skill levels. The 3D cockpit view and scrolling action hold up surprisingly well. The mix of arcade blasting with light strategy keeps things engaging longer than pure shooters.
This hasn't got the edge over Starfox but I'd highly recommend this if you like classic Spectrum dogfighting.
