Kong Ocean 1983
An early clone of the arcade smash Donkey Kong, Ocean’s Kong was one of the first proper platformers to hit the Speccy. You play Mario, well of sorts, scaling rickety girders to rescue the damsel from the giant ape Kong.
This plays tremendously fast, too fast for me, the controls are very sticky and you have to pinpoint those ladder climbs.
Kong has some nostalgic charm but this hasn't aged well a all. I can imagine there was some enjoyment to be found if this was the only game you had back in the day but this feels like an old relic, a bit of a donkey.
