Butcher Hill 1988 Gremlin.
In the sweltering jungles of a Vietnam Butcher Hill drops you into the boots of five soldiers tasked with rescuing POWs from a guerrilla stronghold.
The game unfolds across three distinct stages, a high-speed dinghy dash down a winding river. You're at the wheel of a motorized rubber dinghy, dodging boulders that bounce you airborne and evading enemy planes strafe from above. It's absolutely imperative that you pick up the compass in this level, otherwise it renders the second stage impossible. Stage two is a FPS tracking through the deep bush taking out enemy positions. The final stage is the POW camp at Butcher Hill, destroy every building in sight, take out the enemy and save your comrades.
On paper this game sounds awesome, but it's a mishmash that promises jungle carnage but delivers patchy execution.
