Firebird Software's 1988 G.I. Hero drops you into a Rambo-wannabe scenario straight out of the late '80s: you're a lone American soldier in a hostile jungle to recover stolen NATO documents from some unnamed enemy stronghold.
Your faithful German shepherd sidekick, Killer will aid you on your mission and assist you with enemy takedowns.There's some very nice graphics here with big chunky sprites, but the action gets very limp, map wise everything looks the same. If you're a fan of walking simulators like Tir Na Nog this game might be appealing, but essentially you're just walking the dog whilst getting lost in a jungle.
