Every second counts in an emergency, but sometimes calling 9-1-1 isn’t an option.

When it’s not safe or physically possible to call during an emergency, remember that you can text to 9-1-1. This service is also crucial for those who are hard of hearing and for individuals with speech disabilities.

Texting to 9-1-1 should ONLY be used in an emergency situation and when calling is not safe or possible.

Your safety is always our priority. Know your options and stay safe!
