KULT News found another incompetent Chief of Police in the Lone Star State, this time in the tiny town of Junction, TX.
Chief Rudy Supak demanded to see ID for what he deemed to be the “suspicious behavior” of public photograph. Would we cave in to his demands or tell him to kick rocks?

Laws may vary but, generally speaking, in the United States, if you are in public you are legally able to photograph whatever you can see. Simply put, your eyes can’t be trespassed. Obviously there are some restrictions on this (i.e., bathrooms, dressing rooms, most courtrooms, locker rooms, etc.) but very few when you are in public. If you can see it, you can shoot it (this rule only applies to cameras.) This is not legal advice.
