This homemade BBQ sauce uses butter, onion, garlic, ketchup, spicy brown mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and Cajun spice for that perfect Texas flavor with a kick. It’s easy, quick, and better than store-bought, I promise.

🍖 Texas BBQ Sauce Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups ketchup
2 tbsp spicy brown mustard
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
½ tsp Cajun seasoning (or more for extra kick)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1️⃣ Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
2️⃣ Add chopped onion and cook until soft (about 5 min).
3️⃣ Add minced garlic, cook for 1 min.
4️⃣ Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, brown sugar, vinegar, and Cajun spice.
5️⃣ Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and let simmer 15–20 min, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
6️⃣ Season with salt & pepper to taste.
7️⃣ Let cool, store in a mason jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
