The next Tetris 99 Maximus Cup event is a tie-in with Splatoon Raiders, which released very recently for the Nintendo Switch 2. I don't know too much about Splatoon Raiders outside of the Nintendo Direct as I don't watch Nintendo Direct presentations that are only about an upcoming game, well only some, but I usually avoid information in case they spoil a massive plot twist, for example, in Donkey Kong Bananza, there was a surprise twist that happens at the beginning of the game which they did give away at the start of the Nintendo Direct presentation for Donkey Kong Bananza, and I was surprised by it as I wanted to go in there without knowing everything, but in the end, I had the existence of a certain character spoiled for me in the thumbnail, which did take away the surprise when I finally encountered that character in that game.
The only thing that I know about Splatoon Raiders is that it is a single-player game, and it is the first spin-off game to the Splatoon series, and it features characters from Splatoon 3 as they explore an island.
The new theme for this Tetris 99 event is unlocked after you get 100 points, and the Splatoon series has had tie-in events with Tetris 99, this is the third one they have done, even though this is the fourth game in the Splatoon series. I do like the music choices they went with for this event, I don't know much of the music from the Splatoon series outside of the first two games, still can't get over how the first Splatoon game was considered a successful game, despite it only being on the Wii U, which was an unsuccessful console in terms of sales, and Splatoon has never been re-released on the Switch.
