I tried to break this AI personal training by showing it one of my most insane exercises. The product is called the BodyPark Atom.

I've got a direct link to it at:
nicknilsson.com

And, to be fair, it's definitely NOT the fault of the product that it didn't quite know what to do with that exercise (most people don't either!).

That exercise is a combination of an overhead dumbbell tricep extension, Arnold press and a dumbbell curl... done contralaterally alternating. I actually do it as a brain and coordination exercise!

The BodyPark Atom is a really cool piece of AI-based technology that combines a motion-capture camera with a user-friendly AI that monitors and tracks your form while you're training.

I demonstrate this with bodyweight squats in the video.

Now, it won't replace a human personal training for more nuanced stuff, but for a beginner to intermediate trainer working out at home that could use some really effective training guidance, I actually found it to be VERY effective.

The motion capture system tracks joints and limbs in order to give you real-time audio feedback on your form.

It comes with an exercise library of more than 1000 movements (bodyweight, barbell, dumbbells, bands, etc.) complete with demonstrations and targeted form cues based on what YOU are doing in your workouts.

This system also comes with a wide variety of pre-made workouts that you can select based on the equipment you have available (which is a really nice feature).

If you get one, I recommend spending some time playing with the workouts and exercises before doing a full-power workout... this will get you familiar with the interface and how you need to set the camera for each movement (the AI coaches you on that, too).

Overall, I think they've done a really nice job with this system!

Ever since AI started really picking up speed a few years ago, I was wondering when a good, easy-to-use system like this would come out. This one nailed it.
