This light tower has a Kubota 3-cylinder diesel engine D1005, with a 6kVA generator. Lets find out how many kWh we get per gallon of diesel in this fuel efficiency test. I'll be measuring the electricity flowing into the battery bank using a Victron Smartshunt. This is a great way to re-charge your solar batteries when the snow storms come in. I'll be using the Chargeverter to convert the 240VAC to 48VDC (51.2V).
