Insight home allows the generator settings to be fine-tuned with the XW PRO from Schneider. These settings allow you to use almost any sized generator off grid. Ideally, the solar array recharges the battery on it's own. However, winters in the North East United States are cloudy for long periods of time (weeks). This is where having a generator is important.
There is a new battery charger that can do 100 Amps from EG4.
