Terranigma is the third entry in what is today regarded as Quintet's "Heaven and Earth" trilogy, following Soul Blazer and Illusion of Time. It is an incredibly ambitious game, chronicling the story of its protagonist, Ark, restoring the world after a great disaster -- and asking a few questions about the nature of our world and our place in it along the way.
