It’s been 2 years since I wrote any new music. I guess sometimes it takes having your heart ripped out to be inspired.
I highly debated calling the track by this name, but nothing else seemed right to me. And if you know me by now, you know I’m honest, blunt and wear my heart on my sleeve. So I don’t really care what anyone might assume or think.
I am going through a personal hell at the moment. I feel hopeless, lost and afraid. I don’t know what to do with myself. As a result, here is the song that came out of me…which wasn’t really in my control.
Instead of beating myself up about every little pop, crackle or imperfect note, I just recorded a very simple, barebones track about how I am feeling. Very much reminiscent of my first album, which was recorded on 4 track cassette. That’s partially why I don’t write more often..the recording process is so tedious and frustrating.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this simple little song…because it’s a lot bigger than it sounds.
