in which alexandra finally gets to sing along to some sick pop production
hello potential friends! as you can probably tell, this isn't a song i would normally cover, because it doesn't really suit my voice/range, but this was really fun, bum notes and all! I think i mentioned in the description of my last video that i was working on a cover...this is not that (that one involves me looking the cutest of my life while playing two ukuleles and the keyboard, so that's exciting)
I forgot to mention in this video that I really like the meaning of michelle's song! it's a very "fuck u imma do it anyway and maybe even MORE because u said i couldn't" and i live for spite fueling things
fun fact: i'm wearing a baseball hat indoors because my hair is MAD greasy
i really wish i had a better mic--i'm afraid to sing too loudly in front of my current mic, because it hates loud sounds, but i also don't want to half-ass anything while singing. god I would kill to be able to do something like michelle did and get not only vocal coach time (i've done a few workshops in my life, but never had the time or money to bother seeing a vocal coach on the reg) but get professional production and mixing on a song i wrote and be able to professionally record it. i've been in a recording studio once in my life, and i was a tiny baby (18) who didn't take enough advantage of the experience to learn (i was briefly in a "band" for the purpose of writing and recording one song, but both the other people live far away from me. one day maybe i will upload that here)
