Since 2020, the Northeast Georgia History Center has hosted an annual 24-hour telethon to raise donations for our educational programs. Through the generosity of folks both near and far, we have met our goal each year and provide 24 hours of free and fascinating history programs for all ages.

This year, we are raising donations for the History Center's children's reading program, Gainesville Reads, which provides free one-on-one tutoring for students in Hall County who struggle with reading. Gainesville Reads began in 2020 thanks to donations from our community and our team of volunteer tutors. Despite the challenge of the pandemic, this program and its students have succeeded and made significant progress in reading skills.

During the telethon, you'll hear from tutors, parents, and our students about the importance of literacy education and what this program has meant for families in our community.

We are currently seeking support from local businesses through sponsorships. Our sponsorships start at just $50 and come with great benefits to share your business with our audience while giving back to the community.
