Teenage Engineering's Tiny TX-6 Mixer is amazingly small (and fun). This was my first test right after I opened it - trying out the onboard built-in effects with a cheap Boya lav microphone and an OP-Z. It is super interesting to play around with. It is expensive(!), but I recorded all of this audio straight out of the TX-6 into my iPhone that was filming this. That alone makes it the most portable and best sounding small mixer / iOS solution I've used yet. Keep in mind though, my job is making music and I have to be on the road a lot so it might make more sense for someone like me to drop a stack of yen on something like this than somebody who exclusively dabbles from time to time at home. But, as a fan of small sturdy stuff and nice design I'm all in. I was kind of shocked how tiny it was when I opened the box, but how many other interfaces can you fit in a shirt pocket, right? So far, two thumbs up. I can't wait to hook our OP-1 and a couple of pocket operators in here and get a whole party going. I think it is going to be great for synths and drum machines.
