When we reminisce on things of the past, we often see them more intensely than they were originally. When going back to listen to the song that sent chills down my spine for all of my childhood, I realized that, in its rawest form, it just wasn't up to date enough musically to be as creepy as before. I had gotten used to more complex video game music, and while I still loved the original, it lacked that terror that I used to feel. So I took that original song and I tweaked it to be how I remembered it: from my heart racing as I stepped up to that looming tower to it stopping when I came face to face with the ghost Marowak. I hope that this, my first remix, may take you back to a time when we didn't need 720p graphics to strike terror into our hearts... back to the days of the GameBoy Color and Pokemon. Enjoy!
