Often in tabletop RPGs, collaboration and working together go a long way, and teamwork can allow a group to succeed far more than individuals could who just focused on their own ideas and glory. But on the other extreme from the loner who doesn't want to work together, you can have problems with succumbing to groupthink where the party becomes a hivemind and makes poor decisions out of a desire for consensus and a fear of rocking the boat.
