"A really great portrait has a way of whispering to your inner-self, so you can see light within yourself."

It was lovely having photographer Misan Harriman drop by the #PhotoPrize exhibition to share with us some of his favourite works included in the show, as well as the importance of documenting the time we've all been through these last 18 months.

Harriman was one of the judges of this year's prize, and we loved hearing his thoughts on two incredible portraits by Katya Ilina and Polly Braden.

See these portraits on display as part of the #PhotoPrize exhibition at Cromwell Place, which is on until 2 January. Get your tickets here: npg.org.uk/whatson/twppp2021/exhibition
