We're thrilled to have announced this week our acquisition of five new portraits to the Collection, which are all self-portraits by female artists.

These portraits have been acquired as part of our Reframing Narratives project, which aims to enhance the representation of women in our Collection, and is supported by the CHANEL Culture Fund.

Hear from our curator Dr. Flavia Frigeri, who leads on the Reframing Narratives project, about the significance of this acquisition of works from artists Celia Paul, Chila Burman, Susan Hiller, Rose Finn-Kelcey and Everlyn Nicodemus.
