Taylor Swift made a generous contribution to a fundraiser set up for Connecticut mom Ashley Taunton after she was hit by a car while selflessly helping someone who had been in an accident. The Grammy winner donated $50,000 to Taunton’s GoFundMe on Aug. 28 and wrote, “Wishing you the best recovery possible and sending love to your family!” According to the fundraiser, which was organized by family friend Laura Ortelt, Taunton—who is a mom of three—stopped to help people after a crash during a severe rainstorm on I-95 in July. The page said another vehicle hydroplaned toward them and Taunton pushed one person out of harm’s way before taking the brunt of the impact, leaving her facing surgeries and a long recovery.
