I'm gradually re-making my old videos that didn't have sound, especially now that YouTube has removed annotations too! This one explains how to make self-closing mock rings. I know some tatters fear they will be too complicated to execute (I think the long name of this technique is partly to blame!) but SCMRs are just chains closed up to look like rings. They really are not difficult and are a very useful design element.
