PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, YouTube has now removed annotations on videos so there are no explanations on this video anymore. I will be remaking it with sound as I will gradually be re-making all my old videos which were made with annotations (29.05.19).
I came up with this way of making a pointy chain as I was unhappy with the other solutions (such as using a lock stitch). I find using a one-stitch self-closing mock ring (a bit of a mouthful!) gives the shape I was looking for.
