Here is a simple one-shuttle edging which will easily wrap around a corner if using it for a handkerchief for example. It is tatted in size 20 thread and the pattern is below.

R3-3-3-3, R3+3-1--1-3-3, R3+3-3-3, rw
*Leave bare thread of 1cm
R4-4
Leave bare thread of 1cm
R3-3+3-3, R3+3-1--1-3-3, R3+3-3-3, rw
Repeat from *
